Autosol works well, if your pipes are heavily stained use the autosol with a piece of Scotchbrite (plastic pan scourer type of material) Autosol from Halfords or similar for a couple of pounds.

Stone chips - Chipsaway and similar franchises are fine if you're prepping your car for re-sale...however the quality of work varies hugely and more importantly, especially if you're keeping the car, the paint they use is not very durable - it's soft, it wears and after a couple of years the repair will look tatty.

If your car is a "long termer" and the stone chips have become more than you can tolerate - yes!

I'd always look for the smaller paint shops with an "old boy" who owns it - good quality work. The larger "busy" establishments simply feed off insurance work and their work isn't up too much...ask for recommends in your area.

Totally agree with that comment. I've never let any of my cars nearer the bigger boys. The "old fashoined" craftsman is the man for the job.
