Advice for a semi-novice buyer

Post by hershie » Tue Apr 18, 2006 7:58 pm

I’ve been trying to get a test drive of the RS4 since last year. My details have been left with half a dozen dealers (I really wish I could name and shame those dealerships  but I guess they don’t care) I called two more dealerships today and left my details – with no luck.

I’m willing to go to any Audi dealership inside the M25.

I’ve been told today by dealer that Audi have stopped producing the car in January, which I find very hard to believe.

Can anyone recommend a good dealership or even a sales person that will call me back? My only requirement is to have the car by end of Feb next year.

You are being spun some farm yard.......... phone the dealer nearest you, demand to speak to the sales manager or Dealer Principal, tell them you have £50K to spend on a car and none of their salesmen are interested....... you will be surprised how far that gets you>...........

I would avoid every dealer in Kent, although I somehow think you already know that

A guy has posted on here once or twice whose father works at Southampton Audi. He seemed a very nice guy and keen to do business which is unusual for an Audi salesman.

Thanks for all your replies - much appreciated. It’s a pity that my first post had to be complaining of trying to find an Audi dealership that’s willing to do business. However the thought of driving a new RS4 has given me more patience than usual as I ponder about my possible driving pleasure.

Ps. I normally like to dress down when shopping for a car, do I really need to wear a power suite to get these dealerships to give me some respect?
