Major Worry... Issue HELP.

Post by s300tna » Wed Apr 05, 2006 5:11 pm

ok the sort version. (Audi S3 225 chipped by Superchips)
2 months ago car started mis firing under boast, about half way though rather than towards end of.

replaced all 4 spark plugs (fixed)

last week same problem but this time with ecu light on.
4 new coil packs- not fixed- 4 new plugs "again"- not fixed- cleaned maff- not fixed...

ecu light was fault on 4 (which is why i replaced coil packs)

the car can be driven at a normal pace right up to 120mph but as soon as you ask for that bit more its simply splutters.... will pull ok till about 3k then starts however if you go though that up to 4k will still pull but again if heavy on pedal mis fires.....

sorry final bit im sure its only mis firring on one piston.

Try unpluging your maf , if it's better you need to change it . grizz

plugs, coilpacks, maf and n75 are all prone to failure. What does vag-com say?

Does sound like the same symptoms i had when i lost a coilpack, is it possible one of the new coilpacks is faulty. Why not switch coilpacks around clear the fault codes then take the car for a drive and see if the fault transfers to a different cylinder.
