Firefox

Post by PhilT » Fri Mar 24, 2006 10:29 am

I'm not really one to stray away from M$ products, but IE has been giving me jip for a while and seeing as we now have a link to Firefox on the site I thought I should do the honourable thing and give it a go.....

Initial impressions are:

- Easy to install - I just kept the defaults
- FAST.... I always take things that claim to speed up your web browsing with a pinch of salt, but this is fast!!!

Give it a go

Note: I should point out that we allegedly make $1 for every download via the button on the left, but this should not be taken as me trying to con you to generate revenue for the site. Believe it or not, I'm actually an honest kinda guy.

Been using Firefox for a long time now....I really like it...the multiple tab browsing is awesome, no need for tons of windows open - I use it on Mac and PC...

I gave it a bash as using the back button on this site takes forever. I must say it seems very good. Especially the back button as it is now instant

I'm using it all the time now - this site does seem to run faster than IE, and I like the tabs idea too. Can't fault it, not to mention any excuse to reduce Mr Gates' monopoly!
