Suspension upgrades

Post by rs666 » Thu Feb 09, 2006 11:45 pm

Has anyone done any suspension upgrades to their 6?

W8 PMC fitted the Sportec springs. These are H&R springs resprayed grey, and can now be sourced from another tuner (PM me if you want details).

But are there other options?

I am more interested in ARB's. I am happy with the damper rate and height. I am more interested in carrying speed through corners and keeping spring firmness as is.

The 6+ has different suspension to the std 6, what are the differences?

Of course there is the full on option of adjustable dampers and uprated springs but I am guessing this is silly money. For the amount of gain/usage I am not willing to pay that kind of cash.

I think I will end up going for the H&R springs (can get these for £420 fitted), but would like to reduce roll with an uprated ARBs.

Anyone know of any options or other approaches?

That's a good price on the H&R springs - the lowest I was quoted was £458 (exc vat but inc fitting) from a company in your neck of the woods. I'm quite tempted to have them done at some point in the future and I'd definetely be interested to hear how you get on with them if you get the H&R's fitted. Have you thought about getting another couple of RS6 owners together to see if you can get the price down any further from your supplier (which I'd be interested to know who it is if you don't mind telling me).

Rich.

I know the forum admin are hot on advertising, but I am not advertising...

Automotive Performance Services www.autops.co.uk, you might recognise the guy that answers the phone...its Ed from (ex) AmD, set up his own venture with a couple of qualified techs.

I'll ask him if he can do a group buy, PhilT, whats the policy?
