RS4 Shortshift

Any recommended short shift kits for the RS4?

Just fitted a tonoga quick shift into my RS4 last weekend.

I have only had the car 2 weeks and the gearbox although smooth was a little long.

I guess you feel the same.

Got it from a guy on this forum called Karl, who i think owns the engineering company (tonoga) that makes them.

Ordered it Monday got it Tuesday.

Important to order the right one as well as there are 2 models.

Took me 1 hour 15 mins to fit. But i had all the right tools (which helps)

One thing though, i do not think i plastered enough grease on the parts as mine is very notchy.

But definately 10 times better.

i found that most shortshifers i tried as well as my own were
notchy & tight esp when cold, buts its a small price to pay for
a far superior shift to stock.

I could send it back if it dont fit, but it's a Audi expert in Sweden ho told me that he have them in stock and to a nice price and that he have sold before to RS4 (B5)...

But i keep in tuch...

Had a Tanoga on mine since I picked it up .... much better than the OEM that was fitted to my previous S4 (I assume they would be about the same). Mine is a tad difficult to engage reverse but even the other half can manage - so it can't be that bad.

I got a B&M on my RS4 it is a little hard, so ordered a tonaga to see the difference

i got a toyguy one, not notchy in the slightest, no problems engaging any gears and the best thing is, it's not anywhere near as expensive as all these european brands.

i think it cost me something like $150 australian dollars landed from the USA.
