Need someone with VAGCOM - Luton, Beds
Hi people,
I've been having a few probs with the car lately and don't wanna take it to the stealers just yet if its something simple.
I had a stuttering problem under load at about 3-4k revs in 6th, this was cured when I fitted a replacement MAF.
However, I still have a slight hesitation when I put my foot down and lift of slowly.
The only thing I've actually done to the car are:-
1)I fitted spark plugs - I asked enough questions when I did it and I'm happy that I don't think these are the problem.
2) I fitted some atmospheric BOVs, turbosmart ones, they were intended for the s4 and I think I've fitted them properly - they're adjustable one so it could be this causing the problem?
Anyone who knows what they're doing wanna come round and have a look see and compare to their car?
cheer

AFAIK, the whole point of DV's is they take away the back pressure of a closed throttle body and let the turbo boost recirculate and help keep the turbo spooling.
An atmospheric BOV will reduce the effectiveness of the design and your hesitation may well be the ecu not liking the BOV's plus the turbos needing to spool up.
I've been around TT's for nearly 4 years and BOV's in Audi's has never been recommended.
I'm in west London perhaps a bit far for you.

Be careful out there or your arse may be sorry.

what does AFAIK stand for?
ok fair point, if the hesitation continues I'll be buying the 710n valves that everyone says about.
also, just want to thank everyone who has PM'd me about help, I'll hopefully be meeting up with one guy on saturday afternoon to have a look.
Cheers
