TT Turbo lag??

when setting off from a standing start my 225bhp TT seems to struggle to set off quickly, feeling as though it is being held back or something?? its not until it gets to over 5000 rpm that the turbo starts to feel like its kicking in, is this normal?? the car only seems to perform well whilst crusing at higher speeds, again, is this normal?? if any one could give me some feedback on this it would be great. cheers.

Sounds like a knackered primary lambda sensor to me....

definately not normal. The TT winds up from around 3k rpm. If you're not getting it to 5k then somethings wrong.
