Can anyone help?

Post by dave1 » Fri Aug 26, 2005 1:21 pm

I am having to replace the temperature regulator flap motor on the airconditioning air box behind the dash. I have already removed the glove box and console and it looks a nightmare. does anyone know or have any info on how to remove the fan housing assembley?

There is more info on S2Forum - it's a nightmare job with some people saying that the only way is to remove the whole dashboard. However I do recall a post which said that with two people you can pull the dash out far enough to get it out.

Yeah I have done this myself. It isnt the easiest of jobs.

You need to remove the glove box and the cowling around the windscreen since there a few nuts to be undone there to be able to remove it.

There are 4 screws holding the duct to the blower controls also. The fan is removed by twisiting the retaining clip.

the resistor ballast is held in the duct.

If you need a new air con duct with flaps etc I removed the aircon from my car and still have the bits
