Movit/Brembo 4-pot dust seals

Post by TarmacTerrorist » Thu May 26, 2005 9:44 am

Guys,

Can anyone confirm to me exactly which Porsche the Brembo 4 pot caliper comes from that Movit used to use with the 380 disc?

I have a feeling it is the 1997 - 993 - GT2 but I need to know for def.

Basically the outer dust seals on the pistons on my calipers are perishing and I need some new ones

I contacted the UK distributer for Movit over 6 week ago and have heard f**k all back, need to go down to Porsche myself to order some up.

Cheers

Good luck mate, everytime I ask to speak to Guido the nice lady advises me to speak to the UK dealer and insists the pricing is exactly the same !!! Tee Hee

The hot Brazilian babe who answers the phone is trying not to undercut the local UK agent. This is different, its a request for information and the UK agent is not performing, something that Guido needs to know.

I have just brought a pair of 996 GT3 racing callipers,
If you can get your spares through a team or a dealer that is connected with racing, you should get quite a discout over a normal dealer, as brake parts for the Porsche Cup seem to be pretty regular consumables.

I'm pretty sure they are off of the GT3 mk1. Well that is what the disks & pads are from that fit them anyway.
