I sometimes find that after a bit of spirited driving in first that the clutch refuses to come fully up after the change to second. This maybe lasts 30 secs or so. There is also the nice burning smell!
I'm not talking about dropping the clutch on fast standing starts (don't do that) just reasonably fast progress. Anything to be worried about or is it just the clutch looking after itself? (B5 S4 did the same also but to a much lesser extent).
S4 dropping clutch
RE: S4 dropping clutch
Yep, have experienced the same, more so on the actual change into second (ie slipping clutch). Can't be too surprised I guess, it has to try and reign in 340 horses!
RE: S4 dropping clutch
Thanks - the smell last time lasted a long time!
Maserati GranTurismo GTS Auto, S3 Sportback, TT2 3.2 Roadster, Disco3 for the heavy stuff.
RE: S4 dropping clutch
This has also happened to me, the clutch stuck down for approx. 30 secs - i was completing a 1/4 mile sprint - lots of smoke and a real bad smell, not good !!!
