AIR/ FUEL gauge

Post by BRETTCOLLINS » Thu Feb 10, 2005 11:57 am

Anyone wired up an air/fuel gauge to a bi-turbo car before?

having problem's because the car has 2 exhaust probe's. one on left bank and one on the right. Does this mean that I will need 2 gauges to get a true reading. :?

Air-fuel ratio gauges that you install on the standard lambda probes aren't worth the hassle IMHO, they can just tell you if the mixture is rich or lean, nothing else, they don't have any precision...

My advice would be to get 2 wideband systems installed after the cats (if you have a Milltek exhaust, there are 2 bungs for post-cats O2 sensors) and get both displays somewhere in the dash... that way you can see what's happening on both cylinder banks and at least you can read the real air-fuel mixture, not just a "rich" or "lean" indication...
