Injectors

Post by jeffw » Thu Jan 27, 2005 5:34 pm

I'm on the verge of ordering the RS4 fuel pump and Injectors for my S4. Before I do and have to buy the adaptors for the injectors as well, does anyone know of an uprated injector that will fit straight onto a S4 ?

Hi Jeff,

Have a look at this thread

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1737263.phtml

You can can get so called greentop injectors which are better suited for the S4 manifold than
RS4 injectors.

Jeff, I'd seriously consider the RS4 intake manifold, throttle body along with the fuel pump and injectors if I were you. That IM flows so much more than the standard S4 unit... I'd also do the MAF while I'm in there BTW... but of course, it's down to your budget...

Cheers,

Mihnea

Mihnea

You've just listed probable £2000 worth of kit.....which doesn't even include the intercoolers!

I think I'll start with the injectors and pump ....but thanks for the info

Mihnea,

How do you match the RS4 manifold to the S4 intake ports on the heads?

I think the heads have to be ported in order to do this...

For Jeff, I know the price of the kit I've stated, that's why I said it depends on your budget ;)

Cheers,

RS4 engine transplant definitely looks like a better option than a 'full' turbo upgrade.

Yup, that's why I won't be going through the hassle of swapping parts over and over on my S4 engine. Take the S4 engine out, sell it or install in an old and light quattro (coupe quattro) and do a track-only car, get an RS4 engine, swap in, modify wiring so I can use an RS4 ECU (2 wires need changed) and there ya go... of course, the RS4 engine won't have stock turbos on it

cheers,

I will definitely do!!!! A few friends have already ventured in opening bets for my HP goals, some saying there will be a big 7, but I won't go that far yet... if I get past 550 I'll be happy already

Got to locate yourself an RS4 engine first......not easy or cheap. Where do they all goto??? Is there a secret RS4 graveyard somewhere?

Well I am assuming that within a few months of searching, one could be found in Germany.

I wonder what the price of a new one is?
