Arrgh Bloody wheels!!!!!!!

Post by andnik » Thu Jan 13, 2005 7:17 pm

Just Bought a set of four RS6 wheels to complement the ones I already have on the car....I pot holed one over christmas which was so big any wheel would have bent.

well went to ATS to change the rim and asked them to check the others

ARRRGGHH all four are bent with about 1cm wobble on the inner rim.

Thank god I have a new set but I thought the rs6 wheels would be stronger?????one of the reasons for getting them...

As for having them straightened anyone have any experience of this...they are not badly bent just need to be persuaded back into shape.

Thanks

A 1cm deflection is not a real lot as they are allowed to have a 4mm run-out anyway.
No idea about straightening, but why not take pictures of the pothole and try to claim for the damage ?

You can do this in the UK if you are certain you know where it happened (normally a picture of a sodding great hole in the road is proof enough).

Hope you manage to get it sorted.

1cm deflection is a square, not a circle
