Airgun on order
Dear oh dear, what a nice surprise. Like the one they're gonna get when my f*cking gun arrives.
Any suggestions - can't leave it like this!! I suppose they were kind enough to leave the other two.

Locking nuts were on... Sill seems fine, leaving it til cops arrive. Dave P - it's my car for the moment, however is up for sale once I've sorted some new wheels. Really can't take the hassle. Shame, I loved it. House is up for sale too if anyone wants one. Time to get a place in the country with a big garage and a rather large padlock, for a B6...

no locking nuts jr? There should have been!? I really wanted to leave it where it was tonight, in case they came back for the others, is that not the right jacking point? Advice welcome. See you in the for sale section!

That's defginitely not the right jacking point. There are two little wiggles in the cill that indicate where the jack is really meant to go. I doubt it will do too much damage, but I would not leave my car like that all day. What happens if the jack collapses, or they come back and let it down on the ground, or worse - just push it off the jack.
Sorry to hear about this. A real pi55er.
Don't worry with the gun. A nice lump of 4x2 should do the job, or as some people carry, a nice big long aluminium torch (looks a bit less obvious).
I hope you get it sorted and they don't come back for the rest...

Too many toys, not enough time
Thanks for support Audi roadside assistance are on their way to collect, but because it's one wheel from each end, I might have to pay £££ for 'specialist equipment' to get it on the loader. The thing is I really WANT them to come back...

You should be able to get it onto a loader with steel wheels... If the stud pattern is the same, simply rotate the wheel, so that you bolt what should be the outside to the hub. Surely you can get some RS4 wheels from somewhere and save the hassle. Just put it on bricks for the time being.

Gutted for you mate, thieving scum they are.
Reminds me of an article in a bike mag a couple of years ago, where a group of bikers (who'd all been pi$$ed off by having their bikes stolen) got together and formed a 'sting' operation, whereby they would leave a motorbike parked up in a carpark, and hide in a nearby transit van with baseball bats and masks on waiting for the thieves to arrive...

funny you should sat that, have my golf club hidden behind the hedge, I'll be there all night with a hip flask, shooting stick, and radio 4 in case they come back. UPDATE: neighbour has just given me the reg number of the scum. Saw him put a wheel in the back and drive away, (at 6.30 this am!) so that's something I suppose. Thing that I don't understand is that these wheels must be destined for another RS4, so that limits the market somewhat? Is the code usually the same on all 4 wheels? May be able to track them down!
I'm going to see what Battersea Audi will give me for the car, and then what they'll give me if I put down a deposit for a new RS4. Wonder if there will be a difference...
Sorry to waffle buts either that or go and beat someone up.

Bad luck. Bloody annoying.
On the bright side were yours soft wheels? If so they'll soon be octagonal.
Cheers, Richard.
But does your scumbag know about the intricacies of wheel compatibility? Maybe he's seen all the lookalikes and thinks yours will look lovely on a chavved-up Mk2 GTi. What a waste...bobjebb wrote:Thing that I don't understand is that these wheels must be destined for another RS4, so that limits the market somewhat?
