Another Dodgy Looking Ebay S4

Post by gavsteryoung » Wed Oct 13, 2004 3:56 pm

Sorry if this is someone on here selling this car but i doubt it!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 56135&rd=1

330hp and no mention of it being chipped.
Heated seats front and back, no switches for this at front and can you even get heated rear seats.
Is that Azure Blue, looks more Ming!
AirBag Light on! Never Good.
1/4 tank of fuel left but only 40miles range left (must be thrashed to death)
Lack of general care, check out the stereo, washer water, no drivers mat.
Oil temp looks high, mines only like that after going 120+mph (on a private road)

What do you guys think?

Is it only post-facelift cars that have a cover over the area behind the bulkhead in the engine bay??

Agree with oil temp, mine rarely goes above 100 deg these days. No log book = run a mile? It's actually only 20 miles left on 1/4 tank - yikes!

Surprising lack of bids. How on earth did he get that many warning lights to go off at once? Good effort. No log book "but should arrive before end of auction".....and 63p to insure the postage. You would have to be mad not to go for it surely.

Yep! Looks the same as mine ('99) which is original body-wise.

Easy! It probably has a poor connection under the passenger seat and wants pulling apart, cleaning, reconnecting and then resetting.

No I have no connection with the seller but I recognise these items from my car!!

IMHO, an S4 is a fantastic car but is too specialist to buy unseen and without driving.

I didnt give this one a 2nd glance.
Whatever the story, the seller obviously doesn't know the car very well - I do apologise if it does belong to an RS246 member, but can't imagine that it would.
