HELP NEEDED, WITH AUDI S4

MY CAR IS RUNNING IN BACKUP MODE, AND VAG-COM KIT WONT TALK TO THE CAR, KEEPS TELLING ME THAT THERE IS A COMMUNICATION

Mate, sorry to hear that, I'd be tempted to remove the battery for an hour or so, let everything reset. Then reconnect.

If you can't connect with VAG COM, because there is a communication (problem?) then that sounds like something pretty serious.

..and mate, what's with the CAPITALS ALL THE TIME, people think you are shouting!!!

Sorry, this problem started when the garage tried to reset the ECU by removing the battery. Car went into the garage to have RS4 intercoolers fitted. but they noticed a fault code with there reader, tried to reset then they removing the battery. now i can't get the car out of backup mode.

Hi Brett, it's a long shot, but you could try removing both plugs on the ECU rather than disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU. Have you checked all the fuses in case disconnecting the battery caused a spike and popped one?
