Windows with a mind of their own

Post by shamtec25 » Wed Feb 04, 2004 11:19 pm

When I use the one touch on the drivers side window and try and wind the window back up it has a mind of its own.

It goes up and then down three times before it will let me wind it up properly.

any ideas I sounds like a sensor?

Just guessing here, but it sounds like your motor thinks it has encountered something in the window as it tries to close.

If you put one hand on the inside of the glass and help to push it up, does it close first time ??

The detection is normally done by increased current draw from the motor, so possibly your window track needs cleaning, or the mechanism lubricating ??

Cheers,
John.
