Any thoughts on an RS4 warranty beyond 5 years

Post by Joules » Sat Dec 13, 2003 2:26 pm

I am seriously considering buying an RS4. There is an excellent example in my local AUDI dealer W Reg July 2000 and they are asking 33995 which I reckon I will get a deal on. The car is fully loaded i.e. SAT & TV but I am worried I can only get another 18 months on the AUDI warranty. Beyond this is there anything decent? to provide peace of mind??

Cheers,

You can extend the audi warranty for as many years as you like. I checked on my recent visit to the dealers. You just end up paying more each year as it gets older, so most people don't bother after it is 6 years old (I was quoted a figure of ~£1150 for 7 years old, compared to £600 for being 3 years old).

hth.

Cheers,
John.

Bear in mind also that the warranty isn't so comprehensive after 5 years either (£1000 claim limit springs to mind)

I don't reckon it's worth the money after your 5yrs is up.
