Warranty for S3

Post by Riz_RS4 » Sat Oct 11, 2003 11:15 am

Im very unhappy with Audi at the moment.

Ive just rang up 7-8 dealership`s local to me and only two could give me a approximate cost for a 12months extension on my Audi S3 warranty....... here are the results.

Nottingham - Audi
*NO RETURN CALL

Stockport - Audi
*NO RETURN CALL

Manchester - Audi
*NO ADVISOR UNTIL MONDAY

Sheffield - Audi
12 months = £505.00 plus VAT
Inspection = £75.00 plus VAT
TOTAL = £681.50

Leeds - Audi
*NO RETURN CALL

Huddersfield - Audi
12 months = £665 plus VAT
Inspection = £82.19 plus VAT
TOTAL = £877.94

Wakefield - Audi
*NO RETURN CALL

Other(s)
*NO ANSWER

This takes the pee pee people! Ive rang up Audi UK and complained.... nothing they can do apparently.....

HELP what do i do..... anybody know any good Audi employee`s willing to get my some warranty at a good price..... not after cheap cheap just want a fair honest price.....

Riz, did you ever get anywhere with this? I'm keeping the S3 until after my wedding next April due to financial restictions (the mrs) so was thinking about a warranty as it's coming of age.

Cheers

Ben, I've just renewed mine via Whitehouse Dartford. £480+ pre-warranty inspection if your not due a service(1½ hrs labour @ £85p/h !!). Its unrestricted mileage too.

Just don't let it go over the 60k/3yrs as it becomes alot more !

Graham,
if you renewed the warranty while the previous one was still in force you should not have needed the inspection.

I recently got Guildford Audi to check for me with Audi UK, and that is what they told them.
You might therefore like to check and maybe go argue with them for some of your money back.
btw your 1.5hrs labour was cheap - I was quoted 150 incl vat !

Cheers,
John.
