Hi all
I am thinking to buy an RS6 C7, currently trying to decide between pre LCI and LCI model.
Can find pre LCI models at around 60k mileage, fully loaded (pan roof, BOSE, HUD, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise etc) with full service history and HPFP replaced at around £30k.
Downside is the road tax £710 per year at the moment and will rise every year.
LCI models (2015 onwards) are about £35k and haven't found one yet that has the above spec or proper service history with the usual issues also addressed (e.g. HPFP).
Road tax is less on the other hand at £415 and they come with extra bits such as matrix LED lights and nav on dash etc but can't really justify spending £5k more for the "same" car.
Are the pre LCIs that bad to buy at the moment and would the high road tax prevent someone else from buying in the future off of me when I decide to sell?
What would you do if you were in my case?
Any advice welcome - happy to hear your thoughts

With FL cars being up to 9 years old, now, I suggest going for an FL car over a pre-FL car. There were plenty of improvements in the facelift but the road tax is probably the most significant benefit. The other plus point of FL is that you can upgrade the infotainment to support Apple Car Play and Android Auto, which is a game changer in terms of in-car navigation, media playing and general connectivity.

Not sure if you’re still looking or not, but this one has been on AT for a while -

I enquired about it last month. Has FADSH & Audi warranty until October ‘24. HUD, pan roof. Pretty highly specc’d.
