Audi RS4 B8 Cold start Revs

Hiya, when you first jump in your RS4 B8 at cold start what does your revs do? I must add that I have a ghost which I hate, and I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but when I first start the car its like I have blipped the throttle. When I start the car its starts and the revs go straight to about 2800 revs then drops to about 1500-1700, then further settles down. Is this normal as it does not seem normal to me? It does this even when its warm but the revs only seem to go to about 2000 once warmer.

Yup its the cold start.
its quick though to settle and just one blip as you start.

Its rather annoying, as its blipping on a cold engine.

If its normal though, I won't get it booked in!

boba fett, checked mine when started up today. Does the same as yours, its just the cold start, depends on how long its stood after switching off to whether it does it again. Summer months, cant remember!!
