My RS6

Post by super7 » Sun Feb 06, 2022 5:17 pm

Hi All,

Bought it in July 2021 and haven’t posted pics yet. Just had it detailed this morning and it looks decent enough to take pics of.

2014, one owner before me, FASH, low miles, had most of the options I wanted but no panoramic roof. I wanted a car with DRC, this one had the dynamic pack, sports exhaust etc. in the colours I was looking for. Love the car and massive change from my B7 RS4. I’ve got it on Michelin PS4s

Having read a lot on here I can confirm the 21s look great but buckle easy as everyone has said! Mostly managed to balance it out but thinking of a set of forged to have on hand…..

I’ve added an Audi extended warranty to it too, reading here it seemed like a good option.

I want to get a CarPlay unit fitted as the system feels quiet dated. But other than that no major plans. I’m going to have it ceramic coated to keep it looking shiny and easy to clean!

with it being 2014 theres only one way to get carplay on there and thats the Chinese aftermarket units.

I have one fitted from mine, it has it's quirks but works as expected.

This is the one i fitted - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133796875911

Having to hold the Nav button to switch the display to it.
Uses the AUX in connection so sound quality is OK but not the best it could be.
Using the manual paddles switching into 3rd makes the screen switch back to the MMI version and back to carplay 1 or 2 seconds.

But i hardly use the paddles, rest i can live with for now. Im too used to having carplay and it's interface.

Does it feel ‘old’? Looks great but nearly 8 years old now.
Not sure if I’d be up for that but would like to know your thoughts.
