Steering rack replacement

Any ideas on. cost for replacing the steering rack? Is it a case of locating a used part for the replacement?

Hi Oliver. Mine has just gone too. Have you got your sorted yet?

I can't find much out other than it has to be the same part (part number 8E2422072G). There is a company called ssl auto parts who will refurbish your existing one providing its in reasonable condition. Mine came out today and it isn't in a good way. The quote I had from Audi was around £1500. I'm making a couple of calls tomorrow.
