Quarantine for your car
Quarantine for your car
How longest you were kept your car in a garage without driving or starting up? For me longest now 1 month passed, quarantine still on, don’t know how much longer car will stay in a garage without driving, hope battery won’t die)

Re: Quarantine for your car
I find batteries last around 5years. When I bought mine last June (64 plate) one of the first things I did was replace the battery.... might be seen as a bit extreme, but I put this down to preventative maintenance
Hopefully yours will be Ok Tadass, worst case is you just have to buy a new battery... easy swop out...
Cheers,
Lig.

Re: Quarantine for your car
I regularly use trickle chargers / conditioners even when not in quarantine as modern cars are very sensitive to low batteries. And my current car will make the battery flat with it's idiotic battery charging module software / logic to try and make the car more fuel efficient (even with start / stop permanently disabled). Currently the car is just connected to the mains after the second week of not being used.
As some guidance, I've never had an issue with a car (not on charge) failing to start after a 2 week holiday so any car should be ok for that amount of time at least.
