C7 Rs6 MMI updates - Apple iPhone XS Bluetooth issue.

Hi,

I've been a RS6 owner for 8 years now, several C6's and 2 x C7's, newest one is Sepang blue 2016 model with facelift.

I've tried literally every listed / googled combination to try to access the engineering menu, find out my MMI version and gave up. That is until Apple kindly shipped me several Iphone XS Max's which have intermittent Bluetooth. I've tried again but still cannot get into the menu.

I have VCDS and OBDEleven, does anyone know if there's a specific thread and where I can buy updated firmware to buy? I'd be happy with Apple carplay and new Bluetooth stack!

The MMI firmware is in the standard MMI menu you don’t need to access the green menu, if you have CarPlay activated they will update the firmware to do this.

The MMI will be MIB2 if you have connect it is high and if not just normal

If I remember correctly you can download from Audi a Bluetooth update to fix some issues but can’t remember where it was atm

Hi, thanks for the reply. I don't currently have carplay but I've heard it can be added. No idea how to go about this

And I do have USB ports, Do have the later 7" pop out screen and I do have SD Card readers x 2 in dash, if this helps.

There is a thread here as myself and another has just had it activated, you have MIB2 normal unit, if you press menu then setup MMI you will be able to see what firmware you have but I don’t think that will help with your Bluetooth issue, I will have a look later for the website for the Bluetooth update

Tried it and apparently my bluetooth version is already higher. Damn. Picking up my new car tomorrow so I'll see if that's got newer MMI in.

Quick update having now sold my old car and in the new C7 PE.... Bluetooth issues have disappeared, same firmware on MMI but Bluetooth stack must be different...
