I've been living with this warning for years as the car came with LED tail lights. Just had a new DIS installed and also cluster needed a complete reboot as ABS light didn't come on with ignition, an MOT fail now I believe. For MOT the ABS light needs to come on and then go off. VCDS showed no ABS faults so had to whip cluster out and get it serviced.
Long story short I want rid of that bulb out warning now.
Can it be coded out?
I understand a load resistor can be used but not keen on idea. I don't have oe lights but I kinda like the Led ones.
Anyone got canbus error free ones for sale? In. pro?
Bulb out warning
Re: Bulb out warning
An in line resistor would be the easiest way too do it . It's only a load sensing circuit that brings the light on.
It wouldn't need to be a partially big resistor either , so it wouldn't produce a lot of heat .
I wouldn't think it's something that could be coded out , however I could be wrong .

Re: Bulb out warning
You mentioned buying canbus error free ones. But these will work just by adding a resistor. Its a 30 second and 30 pence job.
