So I'm asking for a friend of my girlfriend. She has a 2002 vw beetle that was left for 6 odd months without being started, obviously when she returned it didn't turn over... She has since fit a new battery, when she try's to start the car she is seeing an immobilizer light coming on. Is it possible that immobilizer has reset after the battery being flat for a few months? Can anyone make any suggestions? she is considering scrapping the car but thought I would ask the question first as there may be an easy solution..
Cheers.
Anyone familiar with the 2002 vw beetle?
