B7 rs4 front steering uprights

Hi just needed a ns replacement front upright for b7 rs4- just bought a q drive one from ecp
Looked fine until it came to the axle bolt - there is not enough clearance when snugged up and hence wheel won't turn
Don't think I have damaged anything around the wheel bearing
Anyone fitted one - looks like I could fettled it but shouldn't have to
Presume this is just the wrong part - its it dealer only?
