RS6 Carbon Ceramic - Pad Knock

Hi Guys

So my 2016 RS6 has been back and forth to the dealer for warranty work as the front pad's appear to make a god awful clunk whilst parking.

It mostly occurs during change in directions from forwards to revers during low speed.

So far the dealer has advised they are ordering some brake pad adhesive to attempt to remedy the problem??

Anyone have/had similar issues? And know of solution?

My GT3 did this after I removed the pad dampers designed to prevent this (and rattle) - they get too hot in track use and melt. Does the RS6 use a similar system?

I left it to the apparent experts at Audi Dealership on this one..

No idea if its the same or similar to the GT3 setup? I looked over my GT3 but it runs the steel brake setup and imagine those dampers are only on the PCCB?

No steels have them. They are round adhesive rubber things on inboard side of pad (from memory).

This is the sort of thing. Typically 2-4 stuck to each pad depending on the application.

Dealer is looking into this one again.

Appears they said pad knock is normal and are applying just an adhesive tape to back of pads.. Doubt this will resolve anything

Keep you posted but hoping someone else on here with Ceramics may have some further insight???
