Anyone got a good Elsawin?

Post by Shoppinit » Sun Apr 30, 2017 1:45 pm

Mine's always been a bit poo with missing files and the like.

Would be very grateful if anyone's got a download link for a reliable version that doesn't make me jump through hoops.

Thanks! :beerchug:

Not knowing if it is entirelly legit or not, I bought a copy off ebay. It makes me installa a vitual windows machine to run it on my windows machine. Bizarre and highly annoying, but it is a fairly recent version that actually works well other than it requires a bit more resource to run and takes longer to open.

I was looking at the Ebay ones. A virtual machine would be very annoying to me. Thanks for the heads up, I will ask the question before buying.

Yeah you'll need a VM. It's not that bad If you've got a desktop with a bit power to spare, if not, yeah, it'll be tedious.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I run it (on XP) in Oracle Virtualbox on W10, doesn't need much resource at all.

I have an older version (2013) that I run straight off my Windows 7 machine with no VM.

That's what I would like. I suspect version 5.3 on garage forums is the job but it's such a hassle to download.
