Does Anyone Know This Car?

Still on the hunt for a C6 RS6 Avant. Came across this on Autotrader and wondered if anyone knows it?

It looks in nice condition and low mileage. It hasn't got keyless entry or start which would've been nice. The ad says it's a 2008 but it's got the later MMI 3G + HDD Sat Nav and Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity so am I right in thinking it must be a late 2008 model? Is the chrome 'Quattro' badge on the boot a genuine Audi badge as I've not seen that on any other RS6's?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The "quattro" badge is an add-on badge done by a previous owner and the MMi is 2G not 3G (can tell by looking at the big scroll wheel - 2g is smooth, 3g has a thumb dimple in the top).

It looks pretty but the advert is awful to be brutally honest. It says "every extra" yet is has none, no ACC, no sunroof, no keyless, no ceramics etc so it's a stock car with low mileage for a good price that looks externally to be in good order. Get as much history from the dealer as possible and read up on the few issues these have (oil seal and coolant pipes).

PS It could be the lighting but the drivers right side & thigh bolsters have a few big black lines on them, not sure?

Hi Ian,

I've been finding that with a lot of ads, they say "fully loaded" and then list all of the standard features! I think a lot of dealers don't know much about these cars and think buyers are stupid enough to do no research on the spec.

I noticed the seat bolsters as well but it's hard to see properly as all the photos are taken in 'mood' lighting!

There seems to have been quite a few listed on Autotrader in the last week or so as I've been looking for a little while and the same 4 or 5 have been on the usual sites with not much new stuff coming up. Getting one off a forum member is my ideal situation but no one seems to be selling there's at the moment!

To check the spec ring Audi UK and they'll email you its service history and its spec list.

I have the orginal spec list for mine as follows, i did this before i bought it so i'd know what it had, as the dealer was clueless

I think I recognise it ... the cars name I believe is Albert as we once met it in a car park in a service station on the M1 .. it was a interesting chat as Albert was disappointed about only having peeler wheel rims, slightly depressed car
