Wanted. Glovebox CD changer for B7 RS4
Wanted. Glovebox CD changer for B7 RS4
As above please, from the bit of research I've done the part number should be 8e0035111d although feel free to correct me, I've got the standard iPod dock as opposed to a changer so can't be definite on that number.
Thanks
Thanks

I've got one at home in the garage from my car but I'm away so can't check numbers.
Don't you need a new glovebox to fit it?

Good point about the glovebox, not sure on that either!
Re: Wanted. Glovebox CD changer for B7 RS4
Does the ipod dock live at the top of the glove box? I have a feeling it replaces the iPod dock. I know the CD changer can be removed and the later ami with ipod dock can be fitted as that is what I did.

Yes at the top so hopefully a CD changer is a straight swap

In that case yes it sounds like a straight swap.Daytona wrote:Yes at the top so hopefully a CD changer is a straight swap

The CD changer is a direct swap with the iPod dock in the top right (on a RHD car) of the glovebox, even has the same connector IIRC.
BTW the CAN AMI fits in the same place, if you have a 2010+ RNS-E
but needs different wiring.

Gone: 2006 B7 RS4 Avant (Phantom Black)

Yep, deffo direct swap, took no time.
Got the Skoda equivalent 1Z0035111A in the end, £25 delivered.
At first, although the discs loaded and were recognised by the head unit, they were greyed out so couldn't be selected or played. Tried powering down, unplugging, plugging back in, loading whilst on the cd screen but still the same, it was only when I ejected the Nav disc from the HU did everything start working.
Anyway, all sorted, cheers
