Hi All,

So i have a filthy confession - i still haven't owned an Audi, let alone an RS. That being said, I have been actively looking for a high spec'd RS4 (B8) for a few weeks now and have narrowly missed out on my perfect one.

There was a real rush of cars over the new year, but since there has been a dearth of new ones. I'd imagine the new plate might invigorate some new entrants to the market?

I'd love to get peoples thoughts on buying from Audi versus indie, and whether high-connect is worth being on the "must have list". Any way - below is what I thinking about:

Absolute must-have's are:
- [PCB] Drivers Assistance Package
- [WC9] Sports Package
- [UB] or [QH] Black leather interior
- [9ZW] High Connect
- [9VK] B&O stereo
- [6XK] or [6XL] Folding door mirrors
- [VW1] Privacy glass or [3Y4] Side window blinds
- either 5-arm or v-spoke wheels

Non essentials but nice to have's would be in no particular order:
- black styling pack
- hill-hold assist
- high-beam assist
- pano roof
- storage pack
- Advanced Key (the mirror "turn down" feature on reverse is the reason - Mrs B needs all the help she can with the alloys!)
- heated front seats

Hi Sammy and welcome.
I'm no expert on the B8 but I know with some other Audi models that the mirror turn down as you call it can be activated via VCDS. Just a thought, might be worth googling if that is the only reason you want the advanced key.

I think it really is the only reason - as the memory seats and heated seats are somewhat standard specs. If it is possible to "mod" - which i would imagine it should be, that would be excellent. Will start googling!

Blimey, I've had my rs4 for a nearly a year (from new) and didn't know I could programme mirror 'turn down'!
How the hell do you do that (although have kerbed 3 wheels now!)??

There is a little knob on the drivers side that adjusts the mirrors, put it to the left position when not fiddling and when you put it in reverse it will do it for you.

Cameras also work well

Mileage I am not too fussed about as long as it is at or below average. Age, the newer the better. Colours, best described with the rest of the absolute no-no's:
- white or red paint work
- White leather interior
- Beige headlining
- suede // alcantara seats
- bucket seats
