I'm not such a wanker as to hijack the other thread on this but I can't remain silent on the crazy crazy prices.
Given 15 minutes to design this, I can probably make something to do this for around £30 or so (depending on connector prices from TPS). This is a 555 circuit in that just delays the outer lights by a few hundreds of a second. It might not be so oem but should be plug and play. I'll have a look at knocking something up this week.
Alternatively these delay units are available commercially for half the price elsewhere:

Re: Progressive rear indicators
I am that wanker, and I said this ages ago...
It fell on deaf ears though. It wouldn't be too bad if they were actually progressive but they're not, it's just an optical illusion.kmpowell wrote:I don't get how this costs so much, it's a simple split circuit relay which can be knocked up for a couple of quid?!?
The A6 ones are properly progressive, these aren't, this is a junction box between two sections of the one circuit. Play the video again and on one side put your finger over the outer section of the indicator (and then vice versa)... you'll see the section just flashing on/off, the progressive is an optical illusion due to the outer section coming on a fraction later.

Re: Progressive rear indicators
And you'll never make them truly progressive without altering/making circuitry in the actual rear lights (both inner and outer).
I really likes them on the rs7 I had mind. But this isn't them as you say
