Who has change the stereo to an aftermarket one and if so what fitting kit did you buy if you kept the bose system

At least with 4 x RCA if not the electronics, but I have never done the conversion so can't say for sure.

I used the audi a4 alpine fitting kit that was an option with my head unit.

Although I don't use the Bose, I still use the Bose wiring so for all intense and purposes it thinks I'm still using it.

It also has some RCA connections you can unplug and use to connect to an aftermarket amp instead if you change at a a later date.

The only thing I couldn't figure out is how to use the built in GPS antenna. Pretty sure it should be a case of just buying a simple adapter but still not done it.

Thanks for that guys. Been looking on the connects2 website and there was 3 different face plate adapters, I'll get the cheap one and hope it matches the plastic colour.

If you want to match the colour to the dash get hold of the model spray paint mentioned in the aircon button how-to guide. It's a few quid on eBay. My installer did a couple of coats on my surround and it matches perfectly.
