Ordered the Akrapovic Evo.

Post by Mcma1 » Thu Feb 19, 2015 11:19 pm

Well after a fair bit of digging around I finally ordered the Akra Evo system for the RS6. Arriving hopefully next week and will be fitted straight away. It was a toss up between some wheels for the summer or the exhaust but I really like the 21's and to be honest may just try the gloss black for a change. Will get a few pics and some comments up when its on.

Wow!! That will sound nuts, are you also assuming the usual that installing this will invalidate warranty? I've got the sports exhaust on mine (when it arrives) but would prefer something more throaty like say a miltek (my pockets aren't as deep as yours I'm afraid!!)

Have had exhausts on all my cars, with a good relationship with your dealer I have never had an issue. I looked at the miltek as well buddy but to be honest as an engineer myself the quality of the Akra is hard to resist. The Akra dealers also are SO strict on discount which def helps the resale so the system will stand good money used, got 70% back on my last one :)

Thanks for the response matey, I've had numerous car from the Audi dealer in nottigham but never found them easy to deal with. I'll take a note out of your book and see what they say if I pose the question of exhaust upgrade. With the Akra (which is a work of art as you well know being an engineer!!) do you have to remap the car ?

No remap needed, primary cats remain un touched,it's only if you head further to the engine that you need the map. Same with the miltek and any other system.

Peron are the UK distributor who manage the resellers... CLP get a good name and did the first one on the well known "666rs" RS6.... Prestigewheels on here also sell them and are very helpful.

The Akra systems are fantastic to look at not cheap but really well made. Doesn't effect the warranty as I found out with a MIlltek on my last Audi
