RS4 B7 Daytona Grey - My Detailing Progress

Post by Divine » Thu Feb 05, 2015 7:47 pm

Thought i'd post this in this section for any one interested.

This morning I started detailing the interior of my RS. Purchased the car in December and want to give it a good deep clean inside (condition the leather and treat plastics etc).

Interior I have been using a mix of tools. Karcher steam cleaner, APC, gliptone leather cleaner, leather brushes etc.

Although it looked 'clean' to the eye you can see the amount of ingrained dirt in the leather from the microfibre cloths I used.

Also gave the engine bay some love (wasn't heavily soiled).

It conditions the rubber by keeping it elastic, restores color to dried out rubber, protects against extreme temperature etc.

Took these photos this morning in daylight.

Good product for this time of year, stops the door seals sticking when it's sub zero!

I haven't tried on the RS as I now own the steam cleaner however, have done so on all my previous cars with no issues. Not recommending it so do it at your own risk.
