The 2.2 20v was cast iron, wasn't it?
I can't help thinking a 2.0TFSI tuned to a stage 2 would be more useful. Mental effort though, the 5pot sound track would gain extra cool points.

Not quite - figure a mk1 exige is about 750 - 800 kgs. The audi engine and gearbox is heavier than the stock k series so figure another 50kgs before any potential subframe changes so fully dressed could be around 900 kgs worst case. Even so, you are north of 600bhp/tonne which is more than the veyron.

I thought it was the 2.2 20valve AAN engine!
