I hate my steering wheel!!

Post by Eatmydust » Sat Apr 12, 2014 9:35 pm

Good evening all,

Has anyone either changed there steering wheel or have any info on what is involved? I currently have the awful dustbin lid sized multifunction wheel with the buttons to change gear! I find it hard to believe that that is the best they could come up with for a car that cost £60000+ back in the day. :audibash:

Cheers guys.... :biggrin3:

*their
Poverty steering wheel. Can't believe anyone would keep it (Shopp). Easy to change, just need the better wheel, different slip ring and a bit of coding (i think) . MrV10 posted what was needed.

If you're an ugly bas-tard like me I'd highly recommend putting a flatbottomed multifunction jobbie on. There's a chance the airbag might not go off (dual stage) but you're ugly and chicks dig brain damage, well, at least I think that's how the saying goes.

I don't like the clown nose center hub on those. MFSW FTW.

New style steering wheels with the huge air bag look wankyish. 3 spoke standard sport is the best!

I used to think this until I started driving both back-to-back.

I'm not sure why anyone needs to do more that A) Steer, and B) change gear in a C5.

So I say get an OEM paddle shift 3 spoke steering wheel, and forget all the gadgets.
