Welcome to the world of 6 ownership, probably more expensive to run than your Double Hagglund and way less reliable!

Damn right, nothing else comes close for me, just hope that the rack problems aren't symptomatic of having the engine pulled, mines still out

No it's not......my mot man in July said there was play in the steering rack (he did an advisory on mot for it), I asked how much and he said 6 mths-4 yrs but how long is a piece of string?
Steering rack is on back order but dealers are nagging so it should be less than 10 days now but bugger I still need to fun the box in!!!!

Thankfully engine doesn't have to come out to replace it....... So am grateful for small mercies :bigwave:

So why didn't you get it done while the engine was out cryptic? Surely the stealers would have said something too?!?!?!?

I asked the same when Panda first posted re: the jiggered rack; can kind of understand her hoping for the best & getting another 4 years out of the rack (there's that optimisim again...) but for a main agent to reassemble with a shagged steering rack is taking the pee afaic

I wonder what she would have said if a 'specialist' had just done the work?
Ahhh, thought I would have learnt by now, we will NEVER know what happens in that head.
Happy New year all and good luck.
