it started with a disc.....

Post by Yanos » Fri Jul 19, 2013 4:29 pm

Sorry if this has been asked to death but I cant seam to find a clear answer about pads. I have searched on here and on the internet and get mixed answers.

I will be fitting OEM discs, and its been brought to my attention that the pads should be replaced too. So here's the dilemma:

1. Where is the best place to get OEM pads at reasonable price?

or

2. Is there a pad upgrade out there that would be better for braking but will not grind down the disc faster than the pad does its self?!

Cheers guys and happy friday-day :jump_clap:

Most people either go for OEM pads, Ferodo DS 2500's or EBC Yellow Stuff pads.

Not sure where the best place to get them are, however Stoke Audi done a good deal on discs and OEM pads for me!! :beerchug:

Sunroof

this is what i have always believed.
theses are not the same as the £70-£80 pagid pads on ebay which i think are the budget (chinese) pagid pads.
the rs 4-2's are made in germany by pagid racing which is a separate company.

Thanks mate, that's what I was after. I can do some hunting now I know what I'm looking for.

I have read that the OEM are branded pagid and you can get them for a good price on ECP, then I hear not to touch them pagid with a rather long stick. Then I hear that the sportier pad can wear the OEM disc down faster than its self. Then of course Audi try and bend us over to take the price of the pads from the dealership. It gets confusing for my wee brain.

So EBC Yellow Stuff pads are ok with OEM discs?
