Any RS5 owners here have children?

Post by gilford » Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:57 am

I have a 3.5 year old and am considering an RS5, just wondering how you get on with the rear seats and access?

Cheers

I don't, but a mate had an RS5 an he's got two lads, 8 and 11ish. He said it was as practical as a kick in the balls.

Don't say that!!

My wife is quite short, so could have the passenger seat forward a fair bit, I'm hoping I can make it work??!!

I think you should try it. What might be OK for occasional use might do your head in long term.

Can your dealer lend you an A5 if any description for a weekend?

I don't do much mileage to be honest, circa 5k a year, and even then we don't really do many family trips in my car. My wife has a 4 door company car so we could always use that :bigblink:

When she was 12 months old I had an E92 M3 Coupe for 12 months and made that work!! lol

I have been living with an S5 for 4000 miles with a 3 year old going on 4 and it is perfect for the three of us. I will be looking at an RS5 when I can afford the facelift model.

Thats what I wanted to hear :bigblink:

Why wait to get the facelift model? IMHO I cannot justify the extra £16k plus for a new front bumper and lights!?

The facelift does have more than just external changes.

The noise, esp with sports zorst is miles miles better.

The mmi and steering wheels etc is also uprated.

But I agree, not enough to warrant the extra.

A PFL can be had for £35k which is decent

I quite like it myself. Especially with the ally pack.

It looks competitively priced but im sure you could get it for a lot less than the asking price, the car is mint with the right options doesn't need detailing or seat swapping and it looks stunning in that colour.
