Does anyone know if it's possible with this new setup to stream audio from an iPhone to the RNSE using BlueTooth? I'd like to listen to internet radio using my phone in the car.

iPhone Bluetooth Audio Streaming / RNSE 2010+
I am having my RNSE upgraded next week [to a A3 RNSE 2010+ version] as well as an install of a Audi AMI [8P0 057 785 AMI including Hard Disk] and the Audi BlueTooth module.
Does anyone know if it's possible with this new setup to stream audio from an iPhone to the RNSE using BlueTooth? I'd like to listen to internet radio using my phone in the car.

I don't think so. You need to do this: http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=98653

Why not just use Aux in for iPod based Internet radio?
Also, do you mind me asking how much you're paying for the RNS-E upgrade?

I did read this but I am not 100% sure what inputs I will be left with once the RNSE swap is done with the install of the AMI module. Once this is done I'll look at my options left for AUX in.stu wrote:I don't think so. You need to do this: http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=98653
I want to keep everything OEM if I can - I am looking at some Denison products that seem to do what I am looking for. However If I can't keep everything Audi OEM I will seriously consider going down the double DIN all in one Alpine/Kenwood route and the suffer the loss of the SATNav display arrows ETC on the DIS
Re: iPhone Bluetooth Audio Streaming / RNSE 2010+
Yea - this is an option but with the AMI/RNSE you 'only' get one input so may have to swap from iPhone to Other device - also I am pretty sure the RNSE supports only iPhone playlists etc not 'Vanilla' audio out from the base socket.murph7355 wrote:Why not just use Aux in for iPod based Internet radio?

You can connect AMI and a CD changer emulator (that provides an Aux In) to a 2010+ RNS-E at the same time - that would give you a Vanilla Audio In connection as well.sync24 wrote:I am pretty sure the RNSE supports only iPhone playlists etc not 'Vanilla' audio out from the base socket.

What is this magical emulator you speak of? Part Number or stockist plz?PetrolDave wrote:You can connect AMI and a CD changer emulator (that provides an Aux In) to a 2010+ RNS-E at the same time
I've a HD and suitable cable ready to go into the AMI.
From what you say, will this provide me with : 1) iPhone connection via the AMI, 2) HD connection via the AMI and 3) CD emulator cable to the RNSE? If so RESULT!

Re: iPhone Bluetooth Audio Streaming / RNSE 2010+
The AMI can only have one cable connected at a time, so it's a case of HD or iPhone for music (the iPhone will connect at the same time via Bluetooth for hands-free calls).sync24 wrote:What is this magical emulator you speak of? Just type "audi aux in adapter" into Google, you'll get loads of matches.
