Had the adaptive steering which I hated. Very unpredictable, too light at slow speeds and very heavy when really pushing on. I felt like I was almost fighting with it on some corners which wasn't confidence inspiring.
Adaptive Suspension:
Thought it felt well resolved in comfort, but too firm in dynamic mode for the road. Quite noisy too, springs seemed to clonk a lot.
Transmission:
Blips on downshift were nice, but there seemed to be a slight delay in the gear change. Dunno if that was just down to the settings? Certainly it wasn't as quick or seamless changing gear as the GTR.
Performance:
Coming from a big torque RS6, it felt quite slow and really needed winding up to get going. Not sure if the sheer lack of torque is something I could get used to or not.
Noise:
Needs a Miltek - far too deadened for my linking.
Looks:
From a distance it looks like a normal A4, but you notice the bulging arches as you get closer, but it's quite subtle in black. Not as imposing as the B7.
Overall:
Drive feels very detached and uninvolving, almost aloof - hard to explain but it didn't get under your skin. I've arranged a 24hr test drive before making a final verdict, but for the money I'm thinking a GTR would be a better bet and more fun...
