i will start sending them out with them instead of the festoon.

Can all who have bought the kit so far let me know that i have sent the wrong type out i will send one out.

Mine does and Footlongs is the same as door type. Thanks for all your help on these Trups.
I am now wanting LED reverse lights and H7 front fog lights ( fog lights as long as they are bright enough)

Confirmed, the glove box bulb type on the C5 Avant and one would assume the saloon, is W5W, same as the puddle/door lights and passenger only footwell. I did my usual and soldered a bulb in to the glovebox one but you will need the custom panel job as you say.

Any tips popping the covers to minimise damage?

Ringo, nothing for you to need to be worried about, I have had mine in and out loads tinkering with stuff and haven't had anything break. Just gutted a load of bulbs out of mine to finish the S3 so that madam could show it off to the folks complete with new tints all round .

Hi All,

While the turkey is in the oven and I have a few mins to put some of the LEDs in.

The number plate lights were a doddle, double checked they worked before putting them back in.

The rear seat main lights were easy to place but the front ones appear too short to hold in - do I need to bend the contacts?

I think you lever out the glovebox and the boot light is that right? Don't want to bust them.

Finally how do I get to the rear reading lights out? More levering?

Smaller one the the left is the rear main light, the one on the right the front.

They fit in the back all be it a bit tight, the front would need bending.

How hard do you need to stuff the small boards in? Im afraid to break it.

Today is the only bit of daylight I have had in weeks and the house is full so wasn't missed for a few hours!

The conversion was a little more fiddly than I thought, but I have all but one in (broke the lead and don't have my soldering iron).

Here are my thoughts....

Good idea about the insulating tape on the back but I have already put them in! The wire should hold that off slightly.

I think there is room for a longer bulb for the main light for the front - the LEDs are kind of in the middle of the two OEM bulb sizes so fit really snug at the back and are a little too loose for my liking at the front. Will see if they rotate after some hooning.

Rear reading lights were lots easier than the front - some tweezers would have helped if I had them.

Reading lights light up with the main ones but I cannot get them to light on the button alone but this is probably a polarity issue.

Saloon boot LEDs look good but I ended up placing the LEDs similar to the numerplate lights. The 3x2 one was just too big for a comfortable fit.
The boot top light cover was an utter PITA to remove and I have damaged it so will get a new one when I can (depsite not being able to see it)


Overall the car looks much better than expected and with one or two tiny tweaks the kit could be perfected and IMHO good value already. Ill post up a few more photos when I get a chance to pop out again.

when i do my new order for stock end of this week i will order Bigger bulbs to add into the kit for the front Dome lights so they are also a snug fit.
also are you saying that the Boot led for the Saloon needs to be smaller in size?

Mr footlong has spoke about the map light issue but as i dont have a C5 i have no way of trying to work out a fix for this.

For the broken off wire, you can send it back, i can solder and return or there are Soldering kits on ebay for about £7, its handy to have about after its use.

I'll try to take a few photos tomorrow Trups for size suggestions etc. There are two lights in the 'loon boot and I ended up using the same ones as the number plate and that worked a treat, they perhaps need to be 2x2 instead of 1x2. I'm happy to buy a few more bulbs from you to refine it, I like to have things as perfect as possible.

As far as I concerned the kit does as it says and very pleased overall.

No problem getting a new iron, my gas one is too blinking dangerous anyhow!!
