mtm supercharger...
RE: Re: RE: Pictures
Looks flipping awesome, to bad its not a bit cheaper as I think more people would do it...
RE: Re: RE: Pictures
The car is amazingly fast, but is not that driveble at very low speeds arround town. When in first or second at 10-30 km/h, the car shakes . It's not meant to drive slowly, it's not the best family car (the standard RS4 was way more inclined as a family car) but is an excellent track toy and high speed autoband killer. He will change the clutch very soon, unless no fast starts or agressive gear changes are made.
I know all these cause my best friend has the MTM supercharger on his RS4, together with front/rear Mov'It Ceramics, full clutch and fly upgrade, full Milltek with 100 cells cats.
It is very expensive, it isn't worth the money, but I can fully understand his reasons for going this route and is a very very fast car. Good luck with it!

Thanks BOGR32. I have not experienced any shaking at low speeds around town. Only thing is when accelerating in low gears and you suddenly remove the foot from the throttle pedal without hitting the clutch it will <beep> quickly and can be felt as jumpy. I have no problem with it, took me half a day to get used to it. Still using it as a family car. I have no plans to upgrade the clutch at the moment. Regarding ceramics I already have the Audi Ceramic brakes and SS+ suspension which is good enough for me. I am not a hard core track driver, just using it once in a while to have some fun on the track. Not sure I will change the exhaust, I am afraid of a drone when family driving. Have noticed that on other cars and it's really tiresom. If it's worth it? I think it depends on what alternatives you have. Only alternative for me would be the RS6 V10, but the price is £260.000++. As said in a previous post, its not my best financial investment, but now I think the car is like it should have been in the first place and I will keep it for longer.

@BOGR32: Is your friends car a Yellow Saloon?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
RE: Re: RE: Pictures
Nope, black magic pearl. Very nice car, with the yellow calipers.
larshs: not questioning your reasons. Seeing the unbelievable prices for cars in your country, I would probably do the same, since the supercharger is only 25% almost from the car's price. My friend car was dyno'ed at 560 hp, with a different ECU mod so maybe that's way his is a little bit shaky. Even the guys at MTM told me that the electronics in his car is mostly a racing software.
The RS6 V10 will not come close to you when feeling concerned.

Here are some performance figures for those who are interested. Measured today using the Racelogic Performance Box
80-120 km/h in 3rd - 2.7 sec.
80-120 km/h in 4th - 3.6 sec.
80-120 km/h in 5th - 4.5 sec.
80-120 km/h in 6th - 6.3 sec
Don't know how this compares to original, does anyone know?

Still running without any problems. Very pleased with the kit. Tried 0-400m today on trafficated road. Not a perfect run, performance box measured 12.6s and 178 km/h. How is that compared to original? As far I as can find this is nearly like the original is it not?
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Pictures
Yep, a standard RS4 goes from 0 to 400 m in 12.7
