I've followed up my two emails with a phone call today. Audi are interetsed in resolving this, and are looking into what the technicalities are.... Will keep you posted.

Pleased to hear you have spoken to Audi again and you believe they want to resolve this issue - trust me, I am sure we all do. For interests sake what do you think the 'technicalities' are that they are referring to ? Perhaps I am being a little naiive here but it strikes me that -
1) they need to change their policy of only repairing one individual part of the DRC and replace / repair in pairs
2) they need to extend the warranty on the DRC beyond the current 36 month limit
3) they need some long-term solution to what inceasingly looks like a design fault.
Given that it seems many of us have deferrred our discussions with Customer Services whilst awaiting your feedback I would be very interested in hearing your views as you are the one who has been running with this on all our behalfs.

Here's my view:
- Aftermarket is probably the best option if you are out of warranty, however I would like to know more about Grizz's vibrating accelerator.
- My RS6 in averaging about 5000 between DRC failures. Which in reality means about 2000 miles before the symptons re-occur.
- My warranty is due in July and there's something ever so annoying about the fact that if it wasn't for the DRC I probably wouldn't need it.
- Dealers do not seem to have a uniform approach to fixing DRC issues, and therefore it requires that it be investigated and a uniform approach to provide a long term solution.
- Having a plus (I understand there's only 40 in the country), I really do not want to have to go down the aftermarket route, and believe that Audi are capable of fixing this.
- As yet I have not contacted quattro GmbH, as I would like Audi UK to make this happen. RS246 has good links with quattro GmbH and we met the guy who designed the DRC a few years ago, and I have his mobile number.
- Lastly, I discussed the requirement for Audi UK to reflect the strength of the quattro GmbH brand and to have a quattro GmbH assigned dealer in the UK who would have the necessary know how to maintain their flagship models. I used the example of Alpina, and it was agreed that it was definately something which would help in other areas too.... Test drives/spec before ordering, almost "a la" going to Neckarsulm to spec your quattro GmbH / Audi Exclusive car.

Phil, fully agree, however I feel very strongly that even those cars out of Audi 36 month warranty with aftermarket warranty cover should still be included "in the pot", or is the subject of addressing inherently flawed suspension components limited to those cars up to 3 years old??
Some of us have aftermarket warranties which actually cover major components including suspension and associated systems. It would be nice to have some feedback on this if indeed Audi are receptive as to their long term aspirations of a product which should not exceed its sell by date at 36 months!!!

I agree and think the only solution would be a recall / special consideration for vehicles over 36 months with the usual signs & history of DRC failure.

When you are discussing with Audi UK and exchanging emails with them are you seen to be representing yourself or the RS246 community ? I simply ask as I would not put it beyond Audi UK to find an individual solution for one which does not apply to all. You can probably tell that I am not very enthused by my own experiences with Customer Services , and certainly at the present time I consider myself very much an ex-Audi customer who happens to still drive an RS6 (which I have owned since new).
Any further updates appreciated.

Audi customer services has left a very bad taste in my mouth over the last 5 weeks
They promised calls back but never recieved any, very disappointing.
I have been waiting 5 weeks just to see what they will do if anything about my wheels
They will let me know how many bits of the DRC they are going to change on Monday

Registered in this forum just to take part in the poll.
I have a 4 year old RS6 with both rear shocks leaking slightly. I think the back end is riding a bit low since I get slight scraping sounds if I have passengers in the back.
As I understand it, in this situation I'll have to replace all 4 shocks and both central valves....basically the whole system.
Has anybody else had this done out of warranty?. If so, how much did it cost?

Just spoke to Audi UK they said they have no complaint about RS6 wheels buckling and that is from Tech department too, my car is unfortunatly an Isolated case.
I knew this would be the case....Why did it take them nearly 5 weeks to conclude this???
