they have some sort of scanner now which locates where the signal is coming from. :(
If only it could be built into the ECU . Now that would stop the F**Kers for sure.

The people that fit trackers only usually hide them in a few different places on each car,so very easy to find.
They know that most people with nice cars like these have them fitted.
My mate had a rare H1 hummer stolen,he put about 40k worth of extra's on it,it was stolen and never found and he's still
not been paid out because the insurance company say they can't find a similar vehicle to put a value on it.
It's just a stalling tactic and cos he's minted he's not pushing them. Its been over a year now

I really do hope they find it red rocket

Gutted for you Red. Hope it turns up in one piece.

I like the idea of the clutch claw. I have a disklok and standard alarm but it did stop the feckers that had a go at my car a few months back so they just kicked the wing mirror of instead! They did come back a few weeks later so since then I have been parking my car elsewhere and touching wood no problems so far!

paul, the company that manufacture the clutch claw also make a security post have look at it they are very, very good. thing is with something like the disklok and clutch claw the chances of someone taking the car away with those devices fitted are greatly reduced.....

I was planning to have one of these carbonfibre snap off race steering wheels fitted to my RS4, that would be a great visual deterrent.. even if you just hid it in the boot when leaving the car parked up...

Assuming this means goodbye to the airbag, your insurance co. may not pay out in the event of an accident / injury claim...

I better not crash then eh:wink:
Planning to fit pole positions and harness's fairly soon, slowly turning the 4 into track spec road legal car.. standard wheel feels a bit thin in the hands anyway.
What about things like TVR's etc.. no airbags in those?

2 out of the 3 cars stolen are still out there somewhere.

I would appreciate if anyone spots parts or anything relating to my vehicle, and Gavins S3.

That's bang out of order!
You should have been paid out months ago.

Whats Doug saying about the delay??

This would really make me think twice about leaving a car with them if in the worst case your pride and joy is stolen and it takes months and months to be paid out...... It's just not right...... Can MRC not pay you and then claim it back from the insurer??

Really hope you have a rental car out with them!!!

Hope you get everything resolved to your satisfaction quickly....
Best of luck!!
Just can't get the smile off my face......

Doesn't your own insurance cover you if the car is in the custody of a garage when it's stolen?
Maybe if the garage does have insurance you'd be better off going through them as it doesn't affect your NCB but not having a car for months would be a greater concern!
