So you could have an S3 for the same monthly cost as £10k of options on an RS6! Over three years. Hilarious
You wouldn't get a S3. But most certainly a S-line A3. My Mrs A3 tdi is £348 per month.
Eddie pretty sure I saw a contract hire this week for an S3 for £300 per month hence the comment above.

I've gone back to the dealer and given him a challenge in terms of what I want to pay and the monthly payments - I'll let you know. Oracle Finance seems to always offer better balloons but you don't have the option of giving it back with them
Oracle do Lease purchase (LP), not Contract purchase (PCP), so as you rightly say it's a defected balloon payment rather than a GFV where you can hand the car back if you wish, which is why the LP providers can be more generous with the final payment values becuase they are less exposed to the risk of value drops.

I used to LP my cars in the mid/late noughties, but I personally think it's too risky these days, so I stick with PCP.

Mikes right, there's loads of 9+23 £299inc PCL deals around on the S3.

Fair enough. Quick 2 min search shows you could have a lease for under £300 with 2k down - but that's a lease, but not PCP Audi finance. And I agree that's like comparing apples to oranges!

(and continuing on from above, the S tronic doesn't seem to be any more expensive on lease - again, almost certainly because it retains a premium over the manual when the car goes back to be sold off. Likewise, Black Editions listed for barely any extra a month)

Not too dissimilar in my opinion, it's just a different way of financing depreciation. With the S3 you would be mad to PCP if you didn't want to keep the car longer than a couple of years. After the first two years I'd wager a new S3 will lose a lot more than the total lease cost you'd pay of £9500.

I PCP the Mrs car cause it's the only one she's gonna get. She still hasn't passed her test yet and it's her first car. If I'd leased it and return it after 2 years the lease company would probs charge more than the cars worth in damages.

RS6 Performance - Fully Loaded Still Worth Buying?

It depends on whether you have to have a new car and can stomach the payments and depreciation. I couldn't so waited for a used example of an RS7. You may not get all the spec you want but there are used PE examples out there and a few dealer demos with good spec. That means less of a depreciation hit and better residuals on your finance agreement.

Audi are a joke with their finance, Shop around as you can get 4-4.4% without VAG and a better GFV with an agreement which builds in equity for less than what you are currently being quoted.

HTH.

Definitely worth buying a C7 though, could yet be the last of the great V8's and the new styling direction may not be your taste, thus far it's not mine but that may mellow the more I see the newer models
